New PSMSL Paper

21 May 2013

A new paper detailing the holdings at the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL) has been published in the Journal of Coastal Research (JCR). The article, entitled "New Data Systems and Products at the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level", is open access and available from the JCR website.

The data holdings of the PSMSL are useful not just studying the long-term trends in sea level, but also for understanding the annual and decadal variability observed at the coasts. The distribution of the data sets has changed significantly in the decade since the previous paper by Woodworth and Player, 2003. In addition, new mapped-based tools allow users to better explore the database from the website. The new paper is now the definitive article for citation of the PSMSL data set.
