Starting the week of 28 October, the Global Sea Level Observing System (GLOSS) Group of Experts (GE) will be meeting on the University of Liverpool campus meeting, near the home of the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL).
The week will start (Monday, 28 Oct, to Tuesday, 29 Oct) with the PSMSL 80th Anniversary Workshop on Sea Level Science. This workshop will be open to all, as well as being attended by the GLOSS GE attendees. One of the highlights of the meeting will be three hour-long talks reviewing aspects of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Fifth Assessment Report (Working Group I). The workshop will have presentations covering many aspects of regional variability in sea level, with ample time at the end of talks and the sessions for discussion.
The GLOSS GE meeting will follow on Wednesday, 30 Oct, to Friday, 1 Nov. Anyone wishing to attend the GE meeting should make thier wishes known to the GLOSS Technical Secretary, Dr. Thorkild Aarup, who is responsible for the meeting agenda and attendance list. We will post more information on our website as it becomes available.
