Messina is on the island of Sicily and is a new station. Previous Metric data for Messina id. 115 Jan.1897-Feb.1923 is also on the database. Database id. for Messina II is 2081. Data 2001 onwards was downloaded from the Instituto Superiore per la Protezione e la Ricerca Ambientale (ISPRA) website. Metadata for the station has also been downloaded. There appears to be a
datum shift in the data April/May 2006.
