Please note: In many cases, the station position in our database is accurate
to only one minute. Thus, the tide gauge may not appear to be on the coast.
All data on file replaced with values received for 1943-89, 1991-97 from the IEO. RLR revised using 1997 information Gauge type:1943-89 mechanical float. Gauge type 1991- mechanical float with digital output
Documentation added 1999-03-22
Data for 1997 revised and RLR was re-calculated using 1997 as the RLR year. For 1991 data onwards RLR factor is 5.900m.
Documentation added 2008-12-11
Database updated with revised dataset supplied by Maria Jesus. Previous values copied and stored in the file.

Following receipt of the revised data the RLR data looks to be in error. Whereas previously the dataset had three different RLR factors it now looka as if only one should be applied to the whole dataset. As the precise datum for the revised data is unknown the RLR values have been supressed until we can clarify the situation with IEO.
Documentation added 2013-07-09
From information from IEO the primary benchmark is now CRUZ 3.30m above TGZ. RLR factor is 5.9m for the whole dataset.
Documentation added 2014-09-03
Using values from a listing recently supplied by the IEO the co-ordinates for Tarifa have been revised.
